In 2016, Nisha in collaboration with Justus van der Hoven developed the concept ‘Paper Architects’ - a platform to explore the relationship between conceptual architecture and the built form.
This idea culminated in an exhibition ‘Paper Architects’ to raise funds for a charity event in Johannesburg called CEO Sleepout 2016.
The exhibition explored the relationship between architecture and art through hand drawn architectural projects that largely exist on paper. The individual artworks were packaged in custom illustrated paper and a catalogue showcasing the artists and their works was designed and printed for the exhibition.
In addition to the artworks on display, brooches bearing the ‘Paper Architects’ logo were designed and sold at the exhibition.
