Unsustainable textile manufacturing processes rely heavily on globally common resources, impacting people and our environment.  Taking inspiration from natural systems, we explore more cost effective and kinder solutions that will save on natural resources such as water and energy and innovate in finding viable alternatives to conventional processes. 

 

With much of Johannesburg’s history already shaped by a culture of extraction that has left significant imprints on our landscape, we aim to limit the extraction of raw materials and waste in our process.
